The other day I was watching Tati (Glamlifeguru) while drinking my morning coffee, as one does, and she was reviewing a “Magic Palette” from Vera Mona. Turned out that the palette sucked a bag of D’s but it had this awesome sponge called a color switch in it that you could wipe a brush on and it would completely clean the color off so you can use it again during the same makeup application. F*cking brilliant!
Luckily upon a quick amazon search (which I did before the video even ended because I don’t play no games) I found that you can buy the color switch separately. Of course I did and immediately began to put it to the test.
Dude it WORKS. I wish I knew about these when I used to actually do makeup on other people because it would have been really handy not to have to carry 14 of the same brush just in case. Obviously this doesn’t sanitize the brush so it’s not for use on multiple clients. But on one client or on yourself it’s a game changer. I let my shader brush get good and dirty and then wiped it off on the color switch to show you how well it works.
Bruh…how the actual…like how?
This particular one is the color switch duo, which means that it has a smaller sponge in the center where you can put some water or setting spray to dampen the brushes. I can’t really see myself using it, so I probably should have gone with the regular Color Switch solo, but live and learn I guess. I had an itchy Amazon trigger finger.
I don’t really know what else to say aout this thing except that if you’re a person who does elaborate makeup all the time you do in fact need one. I mean a “clean” brush without getting it wet is sorta the dream no?
